River reaches defined as work areas in which the Horizons Regional Council's Operations Group undertake activities in accordance with the Environmental Code of Practice for River Works. This is todefine the limit of activities permitted by rule 16-13 and restricted by rule 16-14 in the One Plan. The lines have been drawn from a mix of the River Environment Classification or REC (NIWA), digitised drains, and free hand digitisation to link rivers and drains. The lines were generalised to 10m maximum allowable off-set to attempt to reduce the number of vertices, which increases the error of some of the drainage data.
